Aaargh, aargh, arrgh! Exams are evil! And very depressing. But not as depressing as my bank balance. However, I found out from the ever-efficient administration of my university that they awarded me a scholarship 9 months ago, but never got around to telling me about it. Which is nice. At least I get some money. Still no job, but three weeks to go... last exam is the 12th, so I start calling them every day from then.

Hooray, exams are over! Now I'm unemployed again. Oh well. Job Hunt 2001 (TM) is now on, and I may have an interview Tuesday, so it's all good. I haven't sent anybody e-mail in ages, so I don't suppose I should have been surprised to find 1000+ messages in my inbox when I checked my mail. Eeek, though. I need money. Food tastes nice. Other random things like that. God bless Jobserve.

Told ya. People are complaining about the new product activation feature in Windows XP. So MS decides it's going to lock software to hardware configurations to prevent piracy. Stupid, even before you think about anything else -- what if I buy a different computer? I need to buy new software? But the hardware lock is apparently also triggering if you upgrade your existing computer -- change a few cards and swap some memory, for instance. Really really stupid! Hopefully this will be the last bit of ubergreed that makes Microsoft kill itself.
