Interesting things I've found or been pointed to in week 2 of fast Internet access... this quite well done if somewhat sickeningly flag-waving
anti-Osama Bin Laden joke, part of a
veritable menagerie of such jokes, fast approaching
All Your Base for sheer overkill. I also quite like the free games at the obviously-named
Games.Com, which I found by randomly typing in the URL, a sure sign of speedy net access and an intense desire to avoid real work.
This week has seen an enormous increase in the amount of software I use. Additions I recommend have been the firewall
ZoneAlarm, which is extremely competent and totally free, which is refreshing. Of course,
Morpheus has also seen a lot of action for my file-sharing needs, and I've been using
GhostScript and other assorted apps for viewing my assignments online (in PostScript format). All useful programs, and nice to have.
