The RIAA is planning an offensive against the new crop of file-sharing services, including a PR campaign ("Pay for music... because we want you to!") and a sinister-sounding "spoofing or interdiction" strategy against the existing services. In the real world, this is called industrial sabotage, and last time I checked it was illegal, but these are the same people who are breaking CDs on purpose to attempt to prevent them being copied, so I don't suppose they mind.
